QUICK ZAPS
ElevenLabs is working on a new tool called AI Sound Effects that will allow users to generate sound effects using simple text prompts. In a recent video, they demonstrated what this might look like by overlaying automatically generated sounds onto video clips. Some of the prompts they used included "waves crashing", "metal clanging", and "birds chirping".
We were blown away by the Sora announcement but felt it needed something...
What if you could describe a sound and generate it with AI?

The sounds produced from these basic descriptions sounded realistic and matched what the text requested. ElevenLabs was excited by the positive reaction this early preview received. They haven't announced an official release date yet for AI Sound Effects to be available to the public. However, people can submit their email on ElevenLabs' website to be notified as soon as it's ready.
Once complete, AI Sound Effects will give users powerful creative control. By describing the sound needed in a sentence or two, all kinds of audio could be produced instantly. This would be very useful for video and podcast producers who often need short sound effects on demand.
It may also help filmmakers and game developers add realistic ambient noises or impactful sound design more easily. ElevenLabs' new tool demonstrates the growing capabilities of AI to understand language and generate high-quality multimedia content.
